Connecting human to human with love~

I love repetition. Even more.. I love creating repetitive forms in the midst of a steady HEAVY Bass rhythm. My whole self goes into this mantra, becoming that rhythm.. its my meditation. It clears my head and refreshes my entire self...therapy even.

Standing here in my studio cleaning dipping bowls, and listening to Daddy Freddy, feeling the bass on my feet through my UGG boots. My fingers are wet and cold, my neck is warm and cozy in my scarf, my head nods becoming part of the movement.

I am reminded of my undergrad sculptures and I think it is time I get back to it! I am reminded of the "Counting Fish" story in one of my favorite books Zen Inklings. Thoroughly content in where I am and why I do what I do.

Handmade and making has been part of (wo)mankind since the beginning of time. I work and make to continue the movement. To connect to other humans from all over, ages, classes, ethnicities. It is the one common thread that connects us all, relates us to our roots. It is a peace movement. One that I am really proud to be a part of.

Thank you for all your support, and enabling me to do what I do!

xo, Chrissy

So nice of you to stop by today Chrissy Ann. My degree (longggg ago) is in ceramics, so it's especially nice to meet an artist with this chosen field! ~ Janet~
