Howdy to all my new followers!
A quick little hello and thank you to all of my new follower buddies! Please stop in and say hello, introduce yourselves! I love the bloggers of this blogging community I've met filled with great stories, interesting tutorials, and great support! I am very excited to meet you as well!
I've been a little quiet all week, not sure if you have noticed.. but I have been on a sweet little work vacation! I decided that since I have the week off from my day job, I would also (try) not going to my studio to work. So far so good!
Here we are Friday, and I have had a sweet week of relaxation and catch up.
The weather was not the greatest lots of rain and slush... perfect for cleaning! :)
So I have spent my week reconnecting with my home which apparently I have been neglecting. At the moment I am only halfway done. I have been taking over every closet, drawer, and shoe box and donating boxes of unused goods.
Some might say I am a hoarder. I may not disagree.
I have attatchment issues apparently.. I fall in love with every object that comes into my life, and I don't want to part with them.
Thank goodness I live in a small apartment and there is a limit.
I have reached it.
Good news is I have next week off as well to finish the organizing and eliminating fest I have begun, and then I can begin repainting and decorating! Time for a fresh new start!
A big thank you to excellent design blogs like www.designspongeonline.com, sfgirlbybay.blogspot.com, http://enhabiten.blogspot.com and so many more for endless days worth of inspiration!
Thank you!
I will keep you posted when my transformation is complete!
And now time for a bath~
Have a great weekend!

Thinking S*P*R*I*N*G!!!
Woke up with spring fever this lovely Saturday morning!
Hit the studio for a couple of hours and started up some new spring designs. Here are a few vases I had fun making today~
The cherry blossom trees will be blooming soon, and you're going to need a safe sturdy place to show off those cuttings!
Now its time to work my waitressing shift. Its so hard to stop making once you're in the zone.
Oh well, it will have to wait for tomorrow! Have a great evening~
xo,
Chrissy

So today I am playing web master!
As you know, being an artist today involves much more work beyond your studio doors. Today, I am a web master.. or trying like crazy to think in the realm of one. Graphic designer? Sure. I am a total DIY chick.. I can handle this! Haha.. The layers of every possible detail blow my mind away! Every font style, color, size, etc.. is driving this potter insane!
Mistakenly, I had thought that I could sit for the afternoon and whip out this fabulous website and have it up and running by night fall. Happy President's Day Chrissy Ann! Now, I will be content if I can get a descent home page up!
So at the moment, you can view my work in progress at www.chrissyannceramics.com
I would love a little feedback! I am totally new to this!
*Wish* me luck!

FYI "In Love" Valentines are also offered on certain giveaways including mine for those of you that are happy in love! Fun for everyone! :)
Stop by and take a peak! They did a great job getting it all together!

Connecting human to human with love~
I love repetition. Even more.. I love creating repetitive forms in the midst of a steady HEAVY Bass rhythm. My whole self goes into this mantra, becoming that rhythm.. its my meditation. It clears my head and refreshes my entire self...therapy even.
Standing here in my studio cleaning dipping bowls, and listening to Daddy Freddy, feeling the bass on my feet through my UGG boots. My fingers are wet and cold, my neck is warm and cozy in my scarf, my head nods becoming part of the movement.
I am reminded of my undergrad sculptures and I think it is time I get back to it! I am reminded of the "Counting Fish" story in one of my favorite books Zen Inklings. Thoroughly content in where I am and why I do what I do.
Handmade and making has been part of (wo)mankind since the beginning of time. I work and make to continue the movement. To connect to other humans from all over, ages, classes, ethnicities. It is the one common thread that connects us all, relates us to our roots. It is a peace movement. One that I am really proud to be a part of.
Thank you for all your support, and enabling me to do what I do!
xo, Chrissy
